Remember This
On Saturday (Oct 9th) we took the ferry (my first ferry ride ever) across the river to Hoboken NJ to see Blair, Kev, Judith (Blair's mom) & sweet baby Max. I kept thinking how I have to remember this because the next time we see him, he could be crawling or even walking (hopefully we see him sooner, but you never know considering it had been almost a year since our last visit prior to this one). He's seriously so sweet and it made me sad to think about how we are not going to be able to watch him grow. Regardless, I enjoyed our special time with him even if he had a couple of "Captain Fussy Pants" (as Kev calls them) moments. After Judith headed home, we took a couple of walks down by the river to make Max happy. We also had a delicious lunch of Pizza! Although we were in NJ (technically), it was still NY pizza and a must have while we are there. Around 5pm, we headed back across the river to meet a friend & former co-worker for a drink. Nicoline used to work for McM but moved up to NY a couple of months ago to go back to school. It was SO good to see her and catch up! I hated leaving her but Brad and I wanted to have dinner just the two of us. We found a "chinese restaurant with indian flavors" and decided to give it a try since we were in the mood for something a little different. It was so good but we should have ordered our "less hot". Brad was sweating his was so hot! I think he ordered spicy noodles but I honestly can't remember now. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was delish, but really hot. It should have clued us in when we were the only non-asian or non-indian in the entire place. You know its hot & authentic when that happens. We stopped for ice cream on the walk back to Wes' apartment and I passed out early! A special thank you to Wes for allowing us to crash at his place. Its so awesome to have a brother in the city!
