Impeccable Timing...

If you know me, you that I am a planner. I plan everything that is "plannable". I semi-freak out when things do not go "as planned"...well, the good Lord put me to the test this weekend.

Lauren & Rian are getting married in CT on Aug 2nd. About 5 months ago, I offered to throw a ATL shower for Lauren & Rian as well as a Bridal Brunch for Lauren. Friends/family from home could fly in and we could have local people attend as well. The date was set! June 27th-29th!!
Yes, we planned this MONTHS ago! Big shock, right?
Weeeellll --- Thursday morning I wake up with a really bad sore throat. Impeccable Timing!
I have this weekend planned for months & I got sick! I was dying on friday and stayed in bed all day. I was worried that I wouldn't be ok for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday's plan consisted of an all afternoon outing to the Malibu Grand Prix. When I woke up on saturday, I even called Lauren to tell her that Brad was coming but I couldn't make it. I felt sooo bad though! There was no way I was going to let this cold beat me (although, right now, I feel like it is winning!).
We spent a few hours at Malibu on saturday afternoon and we came home so I could take a nap before the cookout at Rian & Lauren's last night.....but, i couldn't sleep. All I could think about was everything that I had to do. So, I got up and started preparing some of the food for Lauren's bridal brunch today (sunday). After I did a few things, we headed over to R & L's for the evening. Today, around 11, the girls came over to our house for a bridal brunch. There were 5 of us. So, not as big as showers in the past. It was fun! Unfortunately, I was not on my "A game" but I did the best I could do considering the evil cold took over me.
It was a great weekend celebrating Rian & Lauren but I just wish I felt better!!! Ugghhh!!!
I took Nyquil like 15 minutes ago and I feel it about to kick in!
Oh, I did take photos but I had to use my sister's camera....
To make a long story short, my cousin got married this weekend in NC and they wanted me to shoot the wedding but since IM A PLANNER, I had these showers planned 5 months ago and so I told them I couldn't go. I mean, I only knew about the wedding 2 mths ago, and people had already purchased plane tickets. Anywho, my sister took my awesome camera to take photos and left me her crappy one. haha
I don't have her cord to upload the photos. I never realized how attached I am to that camera until I didn't have it this weekend! That probably doesn't surprise any of you!!
OK --- Im getting sleepy! Time to go cough the night away!
