Will's Arrival
See the previous post for more details on Will's arrival.
39 weeks, 2 days On our way to the hospital to be induced because of my gestational diabetes and concerns for his "size".
I think this was during the 2nd round of Cirvadil. Can't remember.
Contractions! We thought we were getting somewhere on that 3rd round of cirvadil & so they gave me pitocin for stronger contractions. That's when I took the epidural! Thank the Lord! ...but then I stalled at 5cm and it was time to prep for the c-section.
(above: I'm surprised they make those things that big! ha)
below: our cheesy boy!
I will always remember this moment. I tear up every time I see this pic.
not the "huge" baby everyone thought he might be. He just didn't end up having much dense "brown fat" that would have made him heavier. 7lbs 9 ounces - 19 inches long. Born at 6:39 pm on 7/17/11.
Proud daddy. This was in the recovery room. I was still being stitched up.
Dr. S - So thankful for her and her determination to give me a vaginal delivery...some things just aren't meant to be, no matter how hard one tries. He just wouldn't fit through and she knew when it was time to quit trying. So thankful our little man's heart rate remained strong through the process.
