12 weeks

How far along? 12 weeks

Total weight gain/loss? 6 lbs

Maternity clothes? The Bella Band is my new best friend but no true maternity clothes yet. I've heard I will love those maternity pants though & I've always wanted to be able to wear them because they look so comfty!

Stretch marks? not yet...but I wouldn't be surprised. Its likely in my genes.


Morning Sickness? I gag a lot in the mornings but I don't actually throw up. I also feel yucky after I eat. Not really that nauseous - just queasy (if that makes any sense!).

Sleep? I'm in love with sleep. Luckily I think I'm starting to get some of my energy back. I've been sleeping great! I only have to get up once in the middle of the night to pee - usually around 3 or 4am. I've been having some crazy & vivid dreams for a few weeks though.

Best moment last week? Having 3 people look at me and ask me if I'm pregnant. I love "looking" pregnant, I know that sounds crazy.

Worst moment last week?  Having 2 of those 3 people say "I've been wondering but I wasn't sure if you just stopped working out". I just laughed because it really is incredible what some people will say when they don't even know you that well.

Movement?  I seriously can't wait for this part!

Food cravings? ummm, yes. I usually crave FRUIT. Tons of fruit. Also Peanut Butter. But I've also craved salad, Chick-Fil-A (no surprise there), and I think the strangest craving so far has been boiled peanuts!

Gender? I honestly whole-heartedly do not care if it is a boy or a girl. We are definitely finding out, though! I know the typical time is around 20 weeks but I'm seriously considering paying the money to get a 3D ultrasound at 16 weeks like some of my friends have so I can find out! Is that too impatient? I'd love to hear your opinions on this one.

Labor signs? no, thank the Lord.

Belly button in/out? in

What I miss: A glass of red wine after a long day, kickboxing, running, having energy! (I hear that should pick up soon!)

What I am looking forward to: oh wow, there is SO much that i'm looking forward to - The next (we heard it at 7 weeks and everything looked/sounded great) time we get to hear the sweet heartbeat (which was supposed to be monday but they canceled it because of the weather) :( , Finding out if its a boy or a girl, & holding this sweet little bean in my arms for the first time.

Milestones: On our way out of the first trimester and I'm very excited about that. Our sweet little baby is the size of a plum this week! His/Her facial features are forming and so are the finger & toe nails. Imagine how tiny that is!
