Quality Time

Each summer Ms Gloria (the hispanic lady that keeps Sarah & Ben) goes on a two week vacation. Since Stephen & Toni do not have enough vacation from work to take off 2 weeks, they enlisted my mom to take care of the kids for the first week, Aug 9-13. Mom is 64 and she just doesn't have the energy to watch a 3 year old & an 8 month old for 5 days straight (its exhausting!!) so she asked me if I would come for a few days too. She said I could watch Ben while she played with Sarah. I still couldn't move around too easily at that point so I did a lot of sitting with Ben and entertaining him with his toys while Mom played with Sarah. We would switch off here & there if Sarah was doing something while sitting down - like puzzles or reading books. I was there Mon after lunch til Wed after lunch, & unbelievably exhausted on Wed when I got home. I didn't even do nearly as much as mom - she said she crashed hard on Friday when she got home. I hope my mom still has a little bit of energy in her when we finally have kids!?! I love watching mom play with Sarah & Ben. Its the sweetest. I also call her the "baby whisperer" because its crazy how good she is with both of them. I guess that's what happens when you raise 4 kids.

So its been 6 weeks since my surgery and I'm finally starting to feel more like myself again. I still get tired pretty easily but I'm definitely getting there! I saw the doctor on Tuesday and she said that everything looked good. I don't want to put TMI on here about the process we have to go through this month with TTC (trying to conceive) but just continue to keep us in your prayers!

Sarah PASSED OUT! on the floor after playing with Nana. She had her eyes open a little bit so I had to take a photo! I also love how her hand is propped up on my mom's cell phone.

Almost every night after dinner Sarah asks if she can go out & swing!

You can imagine how nervous Nana was when Sarah went this high. But she loved it and shes good at holding on to the ropes.

Almost time for bed. Sweet babies.

"What's that on your shirt?" (and then you get hit on the chin with a finger). My brothers used to do 

this to my sister & I ALL THE TIME while we were younger and it totally cracks me up that Sarah does it now.
