4 weeks - and counting

It has been 4 weeks since surgery and although I am having some very annoying throbbing pain, I still feel stronger as each day passes. I still get tired VERY easily and I have to remember to take it extremely easy even if for a moment it "feels" like I can handle it. The doctor's office called this past monday and it turns out that I had/have a bladder infection which could be adding to some of the pain. It aggravates me that they didn't call to tell me that until one week after I had been in for my check-up. Something about having to wait for the results from the lab. I was too tired to argue with them, but as you can tell I'm still miffed.
I am very ready to get back to my normal life and am anxious to start working again. I spoke to my corporate office and (depending if the pain is gone) am considering working half days starting the week of the 16th (5 weeks post surgery). My biggest concern is how tired I get after just a few hours of being up. I'm definitely not myself - I can't wait to have my energy back! A lot of it probably has to do with not being able to exercise. Its killing me. I can't wait to be running again. Just being able to do more stretches would be nice but I have to be careful doing a lot of the stretches I used to do so I don't pull anything.

I am really looking forward to getting back on the photography saddle! I have had several inquiries for weddings and portrait sessions over the last couple of weeks. I need photography to keep me sane -- so, as you can tell by the following images, I'm taking photos of anything I can! Our good friends Chef Mac & Lauren came over on the 24th to cook dinner for us since I had not been able to cook. Rian made oysters stuffed with crabmeat & cheese over tri-colored orzo as an appetizer, Chicken Cordon Bleu, asparagus and rissotto as a main course and fruit over a puff pastry for dessert. We were stuffed and it was delish! A very special thank you to our sweet friends!!

It sure is nice to have a chef as a BF - (Not that the rest of you that have brought food are not as equally amazing!!)  I will reiterate how blessed I am to have so many amazing friends! Thank you for the visits, conversations, entertainment and meals! - You are appreciated even if I don't do the best job of expressing how lucky I am! Since my last post - I'd like to shout out to Jami, Steph & Kelli for the visits this week!
