Getaway

On March 5th-7th, Brad and I had a romantic weekend getaway in Savannah. We left Friday morning and arrived around lunch time. We couldn't check into the Marshall House (a very nice Inn) until 3pm so we went to a local brewery call Moon River to enjoy some appetizers and beers. We walked around a little bit and then headed back to check in and relax. We went to a fairly early dinner at The Old Pink House. I loved my red snapper but Brad made a bad choice and didn't enjoy his scallops as much. I think its because I spoiled him the week before and made scallops which he says were much better than the restaurant. :) We made it an early night and went back to the room to enjoy our chocolate covered strawberries and champagne which we got in the romance package. The next day we had lunch at Vic's on the River (amazing, best caesar salad i've ever had) and just walked around enjoying the gorgeous weather and a local arts festival. Later in the afternoon we enjoyed some delicious ice cream at Leopold's! We both had coffee with chocolate chips! So good! Saturday night we had dinner at Fiddlers Crab House. Much more casual but definitely Brad's favorite since he was able to enjoy a huge fried seafood platter. I have to admit it was pretty good! It wasn't greasy and the batter was very tasty! Another great restaurant! We made it an early night again and enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean in the room. The room was small but very comfortable and included a flat screen tv. It was definitely a very fitting movie since there was a pirate ship docked right outside of the restaurant that very night. We just had such a wonderful weekend enjoying each others company and beautiful historic Savannah! It was so nice to getaway since we can get so caught up in our busy hectic lives. I really wish we were able to do this more often.  Enjoy the photos!
