Almost there...

First I will apologize for the length of this post. I probably should have entered it in 3 different sections but honestly your lucky I got this far. :) ha. Just kidding.
Yes, these are Christmas photos that I am just now posting on my blog. I apologize. But know that I am almost caught up and one of my NY resolutions (1 of 83) is to be better about keeping up with this blog so I can print a blog book for 2010 like I did for 2008. Love it!
Anyway, back to Christmas. We had an amazing time on our vacation. It was so great to see Brad's family and a few friends. It was perfect timing for us to get away too. It was a crazy busy year with Brad working full-time and getting his MBA at Emory while I work full-time and run Split Second Photography. Phew. Its a miracle that we still find time to spend together! (rarely, but we do!).

We flew into White Plains and spent a few hours at Beverly's new home (she refurbished Brad's great Aunt's house in Greenwich CT). Her name was Hannah and she passed away last February. For you regular readers, remember that name because if we ever have a girl, you will be hearing it a lot! The house looks incredible and I can't even believe its the same house.
Coincidentally, Wes also works in Greenwich so he picked us up after work and we headed to NYC for the night. We met up for dinner at a delish taco place called Mercadito. It was good but I swear no matter how many times I go to NYC, I still react when I see the prices.
We had a great night! Here are some pics of the first night.

I love it when the guys let me play with my camera settings in low light. :)

Not the same Greenwich CT, this is Greenwich Village NY. (for those of you that didn't already know that).

How I love twinkly lights.

View from Beverly's back window. Snowy pond = gorgeous.

I had to snap this photo during Christmas Eve service. It was so beautiful. What a lovely service. The choir was incredible and it is a stunning church. What else would I expect in Greenwich?

My 2nd Mom. Isn't she amazing?

Brad and Wes before Christmas Eve Dinner. I'm surprised they are not making funny faces in this one.

We don't buy each other gifts but I got these free books at a girls night earlier this year and had to give them to Wes for a good laugh. One of them was called HotLanta and the other was something about Love in the wild west. Hilarious. Who actually reads that junk?

It was freezing but this dog still got in the water. How pretty is he/she?

I would love to live closer to ANY body of water...not counting our creek.

I apologize for the duplication. For those of you that read my Split Second Photography blog as well but I wanted to share some of my favorite scenic shots on here too. This is one of my favorite parts about vacation. I get to wander around and just be creative.

Christmas night dinner at Ro's. She is Brad's grandfather's widow and one of the sweetest women I've ever met.

yikes, not a great photo but the only one from the night.

Uncle Bruce, Wes, Ro, Bev & Brad

The day after Christmas we drove to Bill & Sandy's (Brad's dad & stepmom) to spend a couple of days in Lancaster PA. We couldn't wait to meet the newest addition to the family! Bristol! We has such a fun time relaxing, eating, shopping (the boys even went!!), running, exploring and just enjoying each others company.

Blair & Bristol

One of my favorite shots from the weekend. ANOTHER reason the name of my company is so important to me. You couldn't capture this moment if you tried. Over in a split second.

The Amish buggies.

Sterling, the big sister.

Sweet face. Doesn't she make you want a puppy??? ME TOO!

I think Sterling looks like a wise elder in this photo. BUT she is still a lot of puppy!

Blair and Bristol. I love this shot.

Blair calls them great whites when they do this. Shark teeth!!

It took us 20 times to get this shot. ha

Bringing in the horses.

My FAVORITE!!

Sterling dashing across the field because Wes is running up the hill on the other side.

Another favorite of bringing in the horses.

Back to what I adore about vacations. Wandering around and taking random photos. So relaxing for me and something I rarely have time to do these days.

Brad getting kisses from Bristol.

The Kimmel Men.

Wont be able to do this much longer.

Chewing on Santa Blair riding Josta

Kevin and a sunbathing Sterling

Sandy & Bristol

Blair & the babies.

Neverending story anyone? I think Sterling looks like Falcor on this shot. hahaha

Another fave. Thanks Brad!

This the NYC skyline from the car crossing the bridge and I took this shot THROUGH the railing. I thought it turned out pretty good considering.

George Washington Bridge. On the way back to CT.

Family dinner. I was so glad that we went back to Beverly's another night. Otherwise, I would have felt like our time together was rushed because of Christmas. She really is such an incredible mother and I can see why those boys turned out as well as they did. I think Blair and I (and Wes' future wife) owe Bev a huge thank you. They boys have big hearts and would do anything for each other. I pray our kids are that close one day!

We went on a FREEZING walk the last day we were there. Brad looks funny here!

Love these pictures!!!! The scenery ones are so beautiful. And I do sort of want a puppy after seeing all those pictures of Bristol. I don't really even like dogs! Haha.

I'm with Alison--can I go next time, too? Bev loves me :)

wow!!! Those are incredible!! You have such an "eye" for shots now!! Who would have thought an old rusty chain would make such a cool pic! I think my favorite is the rocks and ocean! The blue just pops!!!
