Good News - Bad News

Good News -- One of my best friends, Kelli is pregnant! I Just found out this morning and we are super excited for Kelli & Matt. She is due Dec 30th. CONGRATS!

Bad News - I made another trip to the hospital today. Amy called me at 3:30 at work. She was in tears and said that she couldn't meet me tonight because her mom was in the hospital and she was on the way there. She didn't have very many details at that point but wanted to tell me we couldn't run, as planned. I left work 15 min later to meet her at the hospital. Her mom has not been feeling well over the last month. Here is the summary -- She had been feeling weak and had dull pain on her side. The last few days have been worse and this morning was so bad that she went to the Dr. He took her blood test and her liver enzymes were in the 400's (normal is somewhere between 20-40). The Dr's thought it might be her galbladder but it looked normal during the ultrasounds. Her spleen was swollen in the ultrasound and the Dr said this could be caused by a variety of things. She had a catscan done but they will not have the results until tomorrow am. Please keep Val in your prayers. We hope it is not anything too serious and will be 'fixable' (as Sarah put it). Ill try to keep everyone updated.
