Hilton Head Part I

 We left for our first family vacation (just the 3 of us) on June 15th. It took us about 5-1/2 hours to get there because we stopped for lunch in Dublin and there was traffic towards the end of our journey due to construction. Will was great in the car and took two long naps. He got antsy towards the end but who could blame him! We stated at the Holiday Inn Beach House which was on the beach and a recently refurbished hotel. It was nice. Nothing spectacular but the rooms were clean, comfortable and perfect for a family trip. After we arrived we walked down to the beach for a few minutes & Will dipped his feet in the ocean for the very first time :) He wasn't sure what to think at first but then I think he liked it. We had dinner at the hotel the first night because they had a buffet with seafood boil, fish, ribs, sides, etc. It was pretty good and okay for our first night but not the best meal I ever had. hehe.
In one photo below you'll see how he's holding his feet up in a sitting position. That's what he does when he doesn't want to stand and would rather sit. Its pretty frustrating since we are trying to encourage him to stand and practice walking as much as possible when he'd rather sit and do his scoot!  The first day on the beach was nice but we didn't have any luck with putting up our beach tent so we didn't stay out too long.
